At 5 a.m. on December 19, 2021 (Eastern Indonesian Time), a pallet truck loaded with MHP products slowly entered the HPL terminal yard, once again refreshing the output of Lygend Indonesian OBI Island HPAL Project! Up until then, the outputs of metallic nickel and cobalt of the HPL project had increased to 12,015 tons and 1,638 tons respectively, achieving the target of producing 12,000 tons of nickel metal in 2021 ahead of schedule. Not only did it submit a satisfactory scorecard to the Company, but it also laid a solid foundation and accumulated rich experience for next year's official production!

"Vivid yet those crowded months and years". From the driving of the first pile on site in December 2018 to the successful commissioning test run of 1# high-pressure autoclave on April 27, 2021, and now the achievement of the 2021 annual production plan ahead of schedule, the Lygend HPL Project has taken less than three years, making the large-scale exploitation of low-grade laterite nickel ore from impossible to possible. So far, the Lygend HPL Project has also become the leading representative of laterite nickel ore high-pressure acid leaching process in Indonesia and the world. It is the first project that can reach 100% full production capacity the year it is put into operation.

The achievements come from the hard work and dedication of all employees. Although the Delta variant of COVID-19 had an awful lot of force in 2021, with the strong support of Lygend and Harita Group, the OBI stocked a large amount of COVID-19 prevention supplies on site, procured testing equipment in a timely manner, vaccinated all employees, and implemented the dynamic zero-COVID policy through rapid testing and screening. With the close cooperation of all employees, we have been able to withstand the repeated attacks of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the constant specter of the COVID-19 pandemic and the impediment of returning to China for a vacation, the on-site employees of HPAL still worked overtime, hard at work night and day, to produce qualified products as soon as possible. In order to save time, some employees even ate, drank, and slept directly in the offices, supervising the system 24 hours a day, only for the purpose of adjusting the system to the optimal state, thus ensuring the normal operation of the entire production process......

"Everyone would meet the storm or heavy rain, but every cloud has a silver lining". Today's excellent results are only the beginning. We believe that under the correct leadership of the Company and the Business Unit, all Lygend employees will continue to carry forward the spirit of "striving for excellence through persistent hard work", overcome various difficulties, make greater breakthroughs in the Project, and strive to elevate the Company to a world's top mining company.
