According to customs data, China's total import of nickel ore in June was 3.4546 million tons, an increase of 1.7739 million tons over may, a month on month increase of 105.5% and a year-on-year decrease of 17.1%.

Among them, the import volume from the Philippines was 3.0748 million tons, up 129% month on month and 3.54% lower than the same period last year. The impact of the epidemic on Philippine export volume has been basically eliminated, and the import volume may return to the normal shipping level in July. In addition, the amount of nickel ore from xinka rebounded to 246000 tons, an increase of 201.7% on a month on month basis. Affected by the weather in the early stage of xinka, the shipment volume was relatively low. At present, it has gradually returned to the normal level, with a cumulative import volume of 833600 tons in the first half of the year. There are still some low-grade nickel ores in Indonesia's bonded zone. In June, the customs showed that the data was 107000 tons, a decrease of 31.6% on a month on month basis, and all of them were low-grade products. SMM expects Philippine nickel exports to gradually return to normal levels in July.
