On the morning of January 21, 2022, the ZHIXIAN II ship carrying three 40T/35M gantry cranes slowly departed from Nantong Rongsheng Terminal, and after completing a series of customs declaration and vessel procedures, sailed towards the destination port of the OBI Island in Indonesia. The three 40T/35M gantry cranes carried are mainly used for lifting cargo at the general cargo terminal of the acid leaching OBI project Phase II in Indonesia. This crane model has various functions and can lift various cargo, and can be used for the unloading bulk cargo ships and complex individual structures.

In order to ensure progress and save time in this shipment and enable the equipment to be put into use on the OBI project site earlier, the manufacturer considered for multiple processes and from different aspects. Finally, it was determined that the three gantry cranes would be lifted onto the ship as a whole. After the final assembly and debugging of the gantry cranes, a 1,600t gantry crane would be used to directly lift the cranes as a whole, with high efficiency and accurate positioning. This not only ensured that the gantry crane had a better completion status in domestic manufacturing, but also saved loading time, greatly reducing the construction workload before on-site delivery of the gantry cranes.

On February 1, 2022, the first day of the Chinese New Year, the ZHIXIAN II ship successfully docked at the general cargo terminal of the HPAL Project Phase II in Indonesia at 11:26 a.m. The unloading of the gantry cranes this time adopted the whole machine rolling method, which was carried out through the winch and wire rope pulley block for overall rolling unloading.

On the afternoon of February 2, 2022, HPL's on-site general manager Zhang Baodong, HPL's on-site executive deputy general manager Shi Wentang, and OBI Park Management Company's deputy general manager Hu Honggen inspected and supervised the site. After a series of sufficient preparations from all parties, the entire machines began to unload by rolling at 16:50, and the first gantry crane was smoothly rolled to the shore at 17:08. The overall work schedule was tight and the task was heavy. With the orderly and reasonable organization and arrangement of the manufacturer and the active cooperation of the on-site personnel, the unloading of the first equipment was successfully completed!

On February 3-4, 2022, the second and third gantry cranes were successfully unloaded, and the third gantry crane was successfully rolled onto the shore at 17:33 on February 4, marking the successful completion of the gantry crane landing. The landing of the HPAL Phase II bulk cargo gantry cranes was an important milestone in the construction of the terminal, marking the upcoming operation of the Phase II bulk cargo berth. The use of the HPAL Phase II bulk cargo berth will greatly enhance the material loading and unloading operation capacity of the HPAL terminal, provide reliable guarantee for material loading and unloading for HPL and HJF production and operation as well as project construction!
